Gladiators announce roster moves

DULUTH - The Gwinnett Gladiators announced Wednesday that defenseman Scott Lehman and goaltender Dan Turple have been assigned to the team from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. In addition, defenseman Chad Denny has been recalled to the Chicago Wolves.
Turple began the season with the Gladiators before being called up to the American Hockey League on October 19th. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound goaltender recorded a 18-13-3 record last year with the Gladiators posting one shutout and a 3.77 goals against average. Under contract to Atlanta, Turple was drafter by the Thrashers in the 6th round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft with the 186th overall pick.
Lehman returns to the Gladiators after appearing in all 72 games last season for the Gladiators. He notched 2 goals and 12 assists for 14 points during his rookie campaign with the Gladiators last season. The third round pick of the Atlanta Thrashers during the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Lehman has not appeared in any action this season with the Chicago Wolves.
Denny returns to the Chicago Wolves where he began the season. In three games with the Gladiators, the Syndey, Nova Scotia native posted one assists for Gwinnett. Denny was a 2nd round draft pick of the Thrashers in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft selected with the 49th overall pick.
Lehman and Turple should be available for the Gladiators for Thursday’s 8:05 p.m. start in Mississippi against the Sea Wolves.
